Snow Characteristics Comments

Cold temps kept the riding slow. There was 4-5 inches of powder on the old wind crust. Good riding in the more protected locations. Walked out to Cornice Ridge but there wasn't enough snow to ride it, found good turns in the gully beneath the big cornice.

Red Flags Comments
Party members reported some collapsing. Saw some moderate cracking on steep slopes. Was able to release a small wind slab on a north facing 35degree roll, only ran 100 feet.
Comments

Still possible to drive to the lake. Crappy light/photo of winds lab release.

Not enough snow to form the big cornice yet.

Good riding, poor visibility.
