Problem #1 Comments

Very shallow pack on the eastern front. Wind sheltered terrain offers a four finger slab on fist facets. In the wind zone, pockets of pencil and knife slab rest on fist facets. In either case.... not a good setup.

Persistent Weak Layer

Problem #2 Comments

To add insult to our already shallow snowpack, recent winds have scoured the ridges down to bushes and dirt.

Creating an unevenly distributed slab, varying in depth and strength.
