Thought the wind might have been a factor today but it only seemed to be blowing above 10,000ft. In Greely Bowl east facing the only evidence of wind was on the ridge line with some waist deep drifts, but they were soft and not slabby in the areas traveled. Only instabilities noted today were shallow sluffs in the new light density snow in steeper terrain, these sluffs were very minor and only the top 4 inches or so was moving. No cracking or collapsing noted today, but I never made it to a north facing slope over 10,000ft. Photos, skier initiated sluffs, and wind blowing on top of Hidden Peak.
Things are starting to fill in a bit in upper LCC, and the cold smoke didn't hurt conditions, actually felt like I skied for real today, but slowly of course. Photos coverage in Greeley, actual turns linked.
