Weather Comments
Nice spring day to get out and see how the snowpack is holding up. The gates are open on the highway and the upper elevation snow is quite good with great coverage and nice snow conditions. A few clouds and a good refreeze last night allowed for supportable riding and turning well into the afternoon.

Snow Characteristics Comments
The very high north facing slopes still had an inch or two of dense powder from the small storm earlier this week and have not gone through a good warm-up yet. Other slopes that are getting the high sun softened up nicely today with good spring snow conditions.
Red Flags
Red Flags Comments
Only observed some minor wet snow sluffs and roller balls with the afternoon heating. Many slopes that are south facing have gone through a good wet cycle with lots of wet sluffing and debris at the bottom of these slopes.
Comments
A small pocket of shallow weak snow that warmed-up and became saturated and gouged to the ground as it moved down hill. Second photo is the south side of Bald Mt.
This picture is just showing the snow cover in the higher terrain around Bald Mt.
