Rain/snowline perhaps 7500' rain/snow mix; 2" up high - actually decent skiing on supportable mf crust above 9000'; though below 8200' one would collapse through the before-supportable crust into the isothermal large grains below.

No propagation per se with the collapsing of the upper crust in the mid-elevation transition zone; as expected there in that zone west was more supportable than east.

No free water noted; however the 2" m/f crust collapsed easily on the wet grains beneath. Mostly Low danger; we'll see how this closed Low plays out with temps and likely-restricted amounts of snowfall....
