Snow Characteristics Comments
The light powder we got overnight was affected by the sun very quickly. Even though the sun was in and out of cloud, the density difference was really obvious. Still great skiing, though.
Comments
Just a heads up- there are a few GIANT holes heading down the north face of 10420 as you get closer to the road at Guardsman's. This would be below the steeper section to looker's right of "Promise Land" on the Wasatch Backcountry Skiing map, close to the road. This would have been a huge drop, and it was nearly impossible to see as you were skiing down onto it! We stopped and filled this one in, but my ski partners said they saw another farther up the road.
