We found nice fast and smooth riding conditions, especially on open north facing slopes. The lower elevation snow was soft and saturated.

Very rapid warming after fairly chilly weather the last few days. We found a few shallow areas where you would drop into structureless sugary or faceted snow.... But, the snow was apparently stable in this area for the time being. I'm not sure how the snow will react to the rapid-warm up in the next couple days though.

On the way down, I noticed a small but fresh sled triggered wet slab on a steep slope in the Quarry Area. Lower elevation snow is soft and saturated throughout. Overnight temperatures aren't dropping enough below freezing, and very warm midday temperatures just make the slushy snow weaker....
