Comments
Skied the NNE facing rock slabs under Raymond, then proceeded on to a NW facing shot into the next small drainage then skied a N facing shot into Main Porter, The snow on the rock slabs had a little wind skin but still skied alright, NW had a wind skin and a firm bed surface underneath, it was also getting damp. N facing into main Porter had the best snow, wind and sun sheltered, makes sense. W,NW,E,S were all damp. No instabilities noted except for damp point releases. Walking up Porter Fork Noticed a roof -alanche and could see the whole years snow pack layering in the point were it fractured. pics, roof-alanche and layering of the snow pack.
Apparently spring is upon us. Wet activity on E facing Porter, Piece of Pie Raymond Rock Slabs.
