Snow Characteristics Comments
The riding and turning conditons in the Mill Creek area are a little bit of a mixed bag. In the open areas where the sun has helped to settle the snow there is mostly supportable snow, but in trees and around other terrain features it is still quite punchy with sleds and skis.

Poor Snowpack Structure
Red Flags Comments
No red flags observed today in my travels, other than the weak snow pack that is common in this area.

Decreasing Danger
Problem #1 Comments
The wind slabs seem to be a little relaxed today, but the fresh cornices are still kind of touchy-not needing too much prodding to break.
Avalanche Problem #2
Problem
New Snow
Trend
Same
Problem #2 Comments
The thin snow pack areas just need some weight added before things come unglued.
Comments
The strong south and southwest winds from Wednesday and Thursday really stripped away snow from the windward side and deposited it onto the leeward slopes creating large wind slabs.
