Seems like fairly low danger in most areas currently around the upper cottonwoods. Sure, you can find plenty of areas that hold weak faceted snow that is punchy but with no significant new load in the near future, this won't pose much threat. There are also many slopes that have quite a stable snowpack structure.
The new couple of inches of medium density snow seems to have bonded well to the old snow surface and I didn't recognize any instability within it. I am not expecting a dramatic rise in the avalanche danger during this next storm as storm totals seem like they'll be fairly light. The main focus will be any instabilities that form within the new snow. It seems like the northerly winds on Saturday may blow a little harder then we would like to see which may drift the new snow into soft sensitive slabs on the steep southerly facing slopes.
Not the nicest weather out this afternoon but the new snow is improving riding conditions.
