Really good day to see some new territory before the impending storm. Started off at the Squaw Springs TH on the Geyser Pass Road and head up a skin track to the top of Corkscrew Glades. Fast travel allowed us to look into Dory Canyon. Noticed a past avalanche in Dory Canyon Upper. R2D2 from a convex rollover during the last storm. Decided to go over onto the west aspect of Tuk No. Old slide from a past avalanche...R2D2 on a NW aspect from a cornice fall. Snow was supportable....creamy powder/wind slab up high, early corn down low.
