Broken cloud cover today. Mainly socked in about 9K. Sharp drop in temp. noticed about 1:30pm. Wind was light from N. NW.

Snow depth was 4-6" at trail head and 8"+ at 8K then backed off again above 8500' to 4-6"

Sluffage noted on steep gully sides across the way. Light density new snow sitting on a stout, smooth surface. Pit revealed factes near the ground but a lot of hard snow sitting above them. No real red flags flying today.

Possible wind slab on ridge lines but did not really find any. Mainly light goodness everywhere.

That said if the wind does get going there is once again lots of snow to push around.
