We did not encounter any obvious signs of instability, but snowpits showed a poor snow structure especially in mid elevation terrain.

The riding wasn't all that good, but we found some slopes with decent snow. We practiced small group and companion rescue techniques, worked on route finding and safe travel protocols, looked at and tested the snowpack in different areas, and checked out and assessed real avalanche terrain.
