Problem #1 Comments

there is about 8 inches of settled snow at 7500 on top of the old snow. The old snow is all faceted, weak, fist density weak snow. I could not find any slab to break into this weak layer. ECT test would collapse with five wacks but not propagate. It seem that this has the potential to be a problem if you can find a wind or other slab on top. I was not up on the higher ridges where there had been wind.

Comments

Lots of new surface hoar forming which is to be expected with this weather.

There is decent skiing on settled loud powder but the coverage is still lacking below 7000K.
