Snow Characteristics Comments
Fast riding conditions. The new snow from last week has settled so you only are riding in the top 6-8 inches. The recrystallized snow is supported by a soft base so you pretty much couldn't help but feel like a rock star. There were hard-as-rock wind slabs up along the exposed ridge lines. No collapsing or movement.

Comments
Found some decent preserved graupel (ECT 23) at the bottom of the new snow (12-14" down).
Ski tracks from Wednesday (deep powder day) were now raised tracks as the wind blasted the south sides of upper elevations.
Our mid elevation snow pack is still very shallow. Found widespread surface hoar which helped to keep you moving fast enough not to sink in to the bushes.
