Cool in the shade, not too hot in the sun, yesterdays cold front kept things in check.

S facing melt freeze crust was damp by 10:00am, E facing crusted, N end of the compass dense settled powder in wind and sun sheltered areas. Gnarly rain crust 8500ft and below.
Comments
ECT pit N facing, 9700ft, sheltered, 32 degrees revealed no clean shears or propagation. Total snowpack was about 20" with about 3" to 4" of damp small grain facets at the bottom.
Wet activity from the prior warm days was noted on E-NE facing sun exposed slopes. Pics wet activity.
