Snow Characteristics Comments
The snow on the high SE through SW was damp and had settled out to about 1ft in depth, a few more days like this and we will be back to dirt on alot of S aspects. High E, Cardiac ridge was crusted but still skiable, NE,N, and NW was composed of medium density creamy snow, exposed NW had some wind damage. N facing on pole line pass still had underlying facets from the previous storm but it appears to have been smashed down a bit from the weight of the settled storm snow, compared to a couple of days ago. Need snow soon or the North aspects are going to rot, and the South aspects are going to melt.
Surface hoar growth observed mostly on NW and NE slopes that receive a bit of sun, not much noted on N facing shady aspects. Pic surface hoar on NW facing.
E, NE facing damp activity on the lower bench of Cardiac Ridge.
Wet activity SE facing Cardiac Ridge
