Comments
Consolidation and settlement of the snowpack continued today with warm temps. Went to Cardiac Ridge to have a look at the high E, NE facing slopes. Pretty evident that the center punch of Cardiac Ridge had avalanched during the storm, could see and feel the debris at least three quarters of the way down the slope, only about 1.5 ft of total snowpack in the starting zone. Also of note was debris piles in Cardiac Bowl, looked like both the shoots and Cardiac pass released during the storm. Snow pit on N facing sheltered pole line pass revealed old faceted snow under the new storm snow but required a pry from the back of the column to get a clean shear. ECT would not pull it out. Pics, debris on Cardiac Ridge.
