Hiked up Green Canyon then cut across to Bierdenau trail. Snow started at around 8600' in shaded aspects of Green Canyon. Above 8800 found pockets of snow up to 10 cm deep with 5-10mm of faceted snow on the surface (on shaded aspects). Snow varied from faceted snow to mashed potatoes based on aspect and sun exposure.
