Comments
explored E/NE side of bald and reids, found 90-140 cm of snow depending on aspect and protection. Snow is very supportable on top 1/2 of pack, sitting on a very wet and faceted lower 1/2 of pack. No failure w ETC and held together as one block when broken off with shovel. Noted weakest facets at ground level, but also high water content. We need a few cold nights before I would gain trust on anything steep.
