Went up to the PC Ridgeline for a look today, all surfaces were rain crusted up to 8900ft, above that there was some softer grauple on a semi frozen surface. The N facing terrain in Scott’s, and the Monitors all had point releases and roller balls on all aspects, especially E. Skied a short run in Radar Love Bowl and did some probing at about 9000ft, the slope is a low angle run facing E SE , and had a 2ft hardslab resting on a pile of faceted snow, the PWL from the January dry spell. The Northerly steep terrain has a thicker hard slab sitting on the same PWL but more faceted. Your not going to remotely trigger a slide at this point in time due to the thickness of the slab, but if your riding the face and hit a thin spot in the slab you better have your life insurance paid off because it’s most likely gonna be a unsurvivable avalanche. With warmer temperatures in the forecast tomorrow i would not trust these slopes and it remains to be seen if the bridge is solid after it finally seizes up with colder temperatures. The skiing was subpar and not worth testing the slab anyway. It remains to be seen if the bridge is strong enough but with warmer temperatures it not worth the risk. The S facing was damp by noon and the lower elevations have been melted out to dirt by the rain. I would suspect elevations below 9000ft will be crusted in the AM. Also saw some recent activity in Banana Days
