Snow Characteristics Comments

Marvelous excellent fun skiing on 16-20" new! Yesterday's new snow has settled somewhat but it's still easy light and playful. More sun this week may make it a little concretey. In our travels on sheltered northerlies below treeline we found good turns and few red flags.

Comments

We found great skiing in Northwoods and were happy to see many other parties frothing about. We experienced isolated collapsing and no other red flags.

This storm produced sufficient load to make big avalanches. We observed day-old crowns on the west side ofTalking Mountain Cirque and one nearly wall-to-wall in Red Snow Cirque, as well as point releases on Noriega's and Exxon's. Keep it conservative! And enjoy!
