Weather Comments
The day started off mostly cloudy and cold. There was very light snowfall in the morning, petering out by midday which left a trace of snow. Nonetheless, it was nice to see snow falling. By 11:00am, the sky opened up with few clouds. Winds were moderate and predominantly WNW, although the winds were swirling around in the drainages. The winds were transporting the trace of snow at ridgelines.

Snow Characteristics Comments

Quite the mixed bag of surface conditions depending on aspect and elevation. The aspect range for finding soft snow is becoming narrower and narrower. We noted large surface hoar development on shaded slopes in lower and mid elevations (upper elevations not observed).
