By noon, new snow was dense and heavy and made for some difficult turns. Variable snow surface beneath new snow, including rime, ice, wind buff, and everpresent sharks.

Nice day to ski a little new snow! Fresh stuff was enough to cover lurking dangers and make for some surfy turns. The old surface under this new stuff is slippery and variable. Watch for a developing storm slab in the coming days.
