Wanted to see how high, protected, north facing surface snow was. In the protected trees i was quite surprised at the surface quality, really nice. Decent coverage too, lots of boondocking in the area. Exit the trees and it’s a different world. Plethora of slide debris covering most of the north side aprons that came down off the upper parts of Reids. Booted up a little shot on the northwest side of Reids and had everything from settled snow, wind filled, wind board, wind ripped. The north side of the saddle between Bald and Reids ripped to the ground at some point in the previous weeks / storms.
