Weather and Snow

General Conditions: It has now been one month since we've had any significant snow. Riding conditions are generally not good. At least the weather has been nice. We've been seeing high temperatures in low 30s and light to moderate speed wind from the northwest.

Mountain Weather: We'll have mostly clear skies with temperatures into the mid 30s to low 40s today and light north wind. High pressure continues through the weekend, bringing more mild weather.

Description

This has probably been the most bizarre and boring winter I think I've ever experienced. The snowpack is extremely shallow for this time of the season. It is currently stable and human-triggered avalanches are unlikely. It will be interesting to see how this shallow snowpack reacts if we ever get any real snow this winter.
