Forecast for the Skyline Area Mountains

Brett Kobernik
Issued by Brett Kobernik on
Monday morning, December 1, 2025

There is not much avalanche danger currently on the Manti Skyline. There is a minor possibility that a person could crack out a small fresh wind drift in the highest most exposed terrain. That said, it is very unlikely that a person would get to a location where they could trigger something given how difficult it is to travel into this type of terrain right now.

Weather and Snow

Current Conditions: The Skyline picked up 4 to 7 inches of new snow during the storm that rolled through on Sunday. Wind was only moderate in speed during the storm from the northwest. Temperatures have cooled into the low teens.

There really isn't enough snow to do much winter recreating yet.

Mountain Weather: We have a quick break today with clouds and cool temperatures. Another system will move through Tuesday-Wednesday bringing another small shot of snow. There is another system looming for the weekend but it seems like this one is trending farther north and I'm thinking we aren't going to see much snow from it.

I'll update this forecast intermittently as needed until there is enough snow for regular daily forecasts.
