Snow Characteristics Comments

New snow is settling quickly and bonding to old snow surface. While students were performing full profiles, I took the time to geek out on the surface snow, hoping to catch a glimpse of RR grains forming. Instead found Diurnal NSF well underway on the shady areas.

Comments

With a cold clear night on the doorstep and another cold clear day, I expect that this will continue for at least another 24 hours or so, potentially setting us up with a weak layer snow surface ahead of the next storm Sunday.
