The new snow was painted on just for effect, not much to it. The settled powder continues to become more and more supportable...skied about boot deep today.

Red Flags Comments
Not much to worry about out there today. At the top steep portion of Moonlight, in the starting zone, the slope must have slid back around Nov. 28 or 29th during the storm. There was snow piled up on the uphill sides of the trees further down from the starting zone. The snow remaining in the starting zone has formed a dense slab...described in pictures below from hasty pit.

A pit in the steep starting zone of Moonlight showed a column depth of about 2' with about 7mm of dry facets near the surface. An isolated column could be removed as a single solid slab in this location.
