HS:60cm ECTP 14 (SC) @ 50cm subsurface failing on facet interface (1.0mm 4F grains/2.5mm to 3.0mm F facets) ECTP 11 (SC) @ 50cm subsurface failing on facet interface (1.0mm 4F grains/2.5mm to 3.0mm F facets) Comments: Collapsing in the tests was very pronounced (5cm drop) and slab held together well (ECTP11 was performed out of curiosity with regards to slab continuity on a 150cm x 30cm column, no break in the slab). High friction was observed in the failure and slab stayed in place on failed facets on 30 degree slope. Upon entering test slope, significant cracking and collapsing was observed.

Forecaster note: I drew the snow profile sketch below from the info above - it helps me visual the snowpack. This slope held old faceted snow from early November, and the test results are significant. ECTP = extended column test, full propegation; one on 11 taps and one on 14 taps. SC means sudden collapse, equivalent to a Q1. Evelyn
