Snow Characteristics Comments
A warm day in the mountains. Snow had a light freeze and turned quick out of the wind zone(within 400vert of the ridge on east). Many past wet loose slides in cutler basin to size 2, some ran up to 1700 vertical. No large collapses moving about in a multitude of wet snow conditions today. Yesterday though on the se ridge of ben lomond the ridges were virtually creaking with the heat, with several significant collapses. Cornice fall danger was real. Snow appears to be draining fairly well in most areas. Many glide cracks low in cutler basin. Absolute mush below 8200' today by noon.
