Comments

Probably my last ob for the year, went to get one last taste of dry cold snow in the upper N facing regions of Maybird. Started out of White Pine parking lot at 8:00am things were pretty frozen until I reached the upper bowl. Skied a due E facing run off the Monolith at 10:00am maybe a bit earlier, it was supportable and creamy not corn yet, but getting there fast, noticed minor wet activity occurring on E just a little later. Decided it was time to ski high N for the rest of the time I spent there, the high N that was not wind affected still held dense creamy dry snow, but I wouldn't be surprised if that"s a thing of the past now, things started to really heat up on my exit at 1:45pm. Did the usual for when heating is occurring, E first, N next and finally NW to finish with. Only noted wet activity on E up high but wouldn't be surprised if W got into the act after I left. Any thing below the high alpine was full on mank\suction cup snow. Photos, Wet activity on the Monolith, Wind affected snow in the high alpine, Tack on a due E facing slope before it got to damp, Dry snow on the high N, and a couple shots of my tracks to finish the season off right, Hope everyone has a good summer and pray for snow next year.
