Snow Characteristics Comments
1" of new snow where over a smooth surface created quite good turning on many aspects and elevations without old tracks. Dense powder on north, soft and friendly spring like damp snow on sunny aspects. Timing is important - early mornings or after the sun's down, there will be widespread frozen crusts and breakable crusts could be an issue.

Red Flags Comments
However, where I looked, the general trend is toward a stronger pack due to warm temperatures. Still curious about the north facing slopes above about 10,500.
