We traveled up Khyv Peak Road from Hobble Creek to climb the west side trail up Provo Peak. From there, we traveled south along the ridge and eventually down through the terraced, West-Facing slopes of Corral Mountain. We went to see the extent of existing snow coverage along the higher peaks in the Southern Wasatch. We found very few areas where old snow remained, and even fewer areas where coverage is consistent enough to pose a potential problem with future snowfall. Still, there are some isolated slopes and terrain features above ~9000' on northerly-facing slopes where I would be wary after future storms. The good news is that aside from these isolated Northerly aspects above 9000', every other slope is completely dry, with no existing snow coverage.
