Snow Characteristics Comments
A great spring storm for the Uintas with all elevations getting in on the new snow. This morning at the trailhead a solid 10" and in the Whitney Basin area I was finding a good 12-14" of nice medium density snow that filled in the old rough surface.
Red Flags
Red Flags Comments
No red flags today where I where I traveled, the new snow looked to have mostly settled out and the little to no wind today was not adding to the hazard. I had some minor cracking in the new snow along the ridge line, but the snow felt generally stable. I noticed some dry loose slides on the north side of Moffit Peak near the exposed rocks that happened during the storm.

Problem #1 Comments
Possibly some soft slabs of wind drifted snow may still be out there on the higher exposed ridge lines, but I was finding the snow today pretty stable and the snow pack seemed to handle the storm quite well.
Comments
A nice spring storm with about 10" at the trailhead this morning and a handful of rigs came out to enjoy the good riding and turning.
A solid foot plus of nice medium density snow in the Whitney area made for some great spring riding and turning and a good refresh for the Uintas.
Thick clouds and maybe some snow showers in the higher terrain this afternoon.
