Snow Characteristics Comments
Nice dense cold snow on north aspects, a little damp and sticky on the sunny slopes and some of the lower elevation snow was starting to get a little unsupportive on my way back to the trailhead. Generally, the snow held up quite well where I visited today

Problem #1 Comments
Not sure what the main avalanche issue was today. The wind slabs felt unreactive and would just crack and tumble down the slope. The temperatures were warm, but not hot and only a few minor roller balls observed with the heating of the day. Maybe it was a transition day today with the wet problems getting going tomorrow.
Comments
As they say at the drive up window; I will have the " Super Size". The cornices have grown quite large and are peeling off a few layers and depositing some decent debris piles on this heavly wind loaded ridge line in Cataract Basin. Some of these triggered shallow slabs, but nothing too deep into old snow from my vantgage point.
The wind slabs that I found did not have much energy and would crack and break and just muck-up a nice slope.
Low clouds this morning hung over the higher terrain creating a thin rime layer on the trees and snow surface.
Only minor wet issues on this upper elevation east facing slope.
