Snow Characteristics Comments
More of an eye-wash than a reset... ultra-low density snow (fist minus) and a little bit of riming did little to cushion old snow surfaces, but it made for some great sight-seeing
Red Flags
Red Flags
Poor Snowpack Structure
Red Flags Comments
Mid December drought NSF is absurdly weak
Avalanche Problem #1
Problem
Persistent Weak Layer
Problem #1 Comments
The south half of the range is shallow and harbors some of the weakest snow I've seen. The December drought layer is in your face and glaringly apparent, but shallow zones have issues near the ground as well.
