Comments
Travel today was the Wilson Chutes, and upper N, NE facing Butler Basin. The sun has taken its toll on all but upper and mid elevation N facing in Upper Butler Basin, natural wet activity was noted on the S end of the compass in steep terrain, starting out as point releases off rocks and then fanning out and running on the slick bed surface underneath and depositing fairly large debris piles. The wind was blowing from the SW so it had little or no loose snow to transport. Nothing really new as for weak layers except for some faceting on the shady N, the underlying crust still remains as the weak link and bed surface for future activity when we receive a load.
photos: wet activity on the S facing, dry snow on the due N, and l guess it's that time of year to put the skin wax in the pack
Low today, moderate for wet activity tomorrow seeing it's gonna be 10 degrees warmer.
