Weather Comments
Cold, windy, and snowing. Low visibility for the most part but the sun did try to come out a couple of times which made for some good lighting. I was never able to see up very high elevation though. The high peaks were socked in all day

In wind sheltered areas it was deep powder skiing! About 20" on top of the melt freeze crust that was felt here and there, especially lower elevation where it wasn't quite as deep.

Red Flags Comments
Mostly stayed away from any steep wind loaded slopes and did not go higher than 8,000'. I did cross through some very deep wind loaded low angle slopes on the skin up and also stepped on one steep test slope that I always like to check out. It gave some very clear results that the new snow has not yet bonded well to the frozen solid old snow and the snow from last night was very loose that has not bonded to itself. It also had a few inches of recently wind loaded snow on top. This was low elevation at 6,500'. I think all this new light snow should settle quickly
