Red Flags Comments
Skied Cutler Ridge this morning. Cold and windy in exposed areas. Calm otherwise. South and East slopes were loading from what seemed to be a Northerly wind. New snow seemed to be in the 6 to 10" range. Wind loaded pillows up to 18" deep would crack up to 30' with ski cuts, but only produced minor slabs, even on steep slopes. These sensitive slabs seemed to be small and limited to the ridglelines. The rain crust is still visible on the surface in wind exposed areas, but is mostly covered with new snow. No collapsing noted today. See separate obs for recent avalanche activity.
