Snow Characteristics Comments
I hadn't been to the Oquirrh's this year, so I thought I'd go over and take a look. Route was Ophir to the summit of Sharp Mountain via Serviceberry Canyon, then to Chandler Peak and exit via Chandler Creek drainage. Solar aspects were a mix of sun crust and wind crust. North and northeast aspects were favorable, soft, dense powder from about 10,000 feet down to about 8,500 feet. Below 8,500 feet, on these aspects, the snow became damp.
