Natural avalanches from Wednesday appeared to be failing on weak layers near the rain crust from mid December.

Surface hoar present on all elevations and aspects, even on higher ridge tops where wind usually breaks it down.
Crown on rodeo ridge from Wednesday's natural avalanche cycle. Runs for approximately half a mile and is up to 4ft deep.
Avalanche flowed into a gully creating greater than 20ft staunch walls, an ice bed surface and 500ft long debris pile.
