Weather Comments
Today started out cool and calm. Throughout the day the wind picked up from the south west significantly scouring the south facing slopes while creating very sensitive wind slabs and cornices on the ridgeline. By the time I left the ridgeline turned into a snow transporting white out event. Areas that previously had upwards of 2 feet of new snow were scoured down to the rocks.

Snow Characteristics Comments

I would classify the snow in the morning as the best skiing snow of the season. It was right-side up with very light snow on top. Although the north facing or lee side of the mountains below the ridgeline remained stellar throughout the day, by the end of the day the south side of the compass was wind packed and scoured creating very unpredictable riding.
