Red Flags
Red Flags Comments
No red flags at the moment. However, snow surface has weakened considerably the last few days. Out of the wind, there was both near surface facets and surface hoar present, although the surface hoar was beginning to get destroyed by the wind. In some areas (see pit profile below) there are thin wind and sun crusts with near surface facets below. These facets will likely not be destroyed by wind and could become active with a load, with the crust allowing slabs to build up and become more connected. However, I don't think the storm scheduled for Monday morning will produce enough snow for a sufficient load. Would think mostly moderate danger tomorrow, with pockets of considerable up high if the winds are strong after arrival of the new snow.
