Went for a look at our almost non existent snow-pack today, only slopes holding snow are high shady north faces. There was about 4 to 6 inches of large grain completely faceted snow on these type of slopes, dirt on all other aspects and elevations. Its always a good idea to have a look at where this old faceted snow is covering the ground and lingering in avalanche starting zones, at this point in time ITS NOT GOING AWAY and might be a factor if we get a good shot of snow. There's not allot of terrain affected by this weak faceted snow but I did note that most of it is where people head for on the first decent snowfall of the season. Examples being the Main Chute on Baldy, Baldy Shoulder, north facing Rocky Point, Sunset Peak, and Cardiac Bowl
