Snow Characteristics Comments
Density inversion existed in the new snow. Maybe 2-3" of 5-8% with an inch or two of 10-13% on top. The top inch or two made up a very soft but prevalent slab. I believe this layer could be troublesome for us with further loading (i.e. Overnight and thursday) especially with a nice bed surface to slide on. That being said, it was letting up and even stopped snowing for a bit. But then the fog rolled it. Possible rime crust forming.

Problem #1 Comments
We skiied down Over Easy. We cut right and came upon a medium size sluff. It looked as if it started off some steep rocks. It propagated 10-15ft in either direction and 2-4" deep. It travelled 300 feet down the slope and made for some deep turns.
