Comments

Walked up Porter Fork today to stay out of the sun and ski NW facing since it is the last aspect to see the sun. Main Gobblers had some wind damage from the NE wind blowing across the face. The damage was not severe but it did make me look for another slope to ski, headed up over the top and went to the Cabin Run which is protected from the NE winds by the Alexander Porter ridge line, discovered that the Cabin Run was void of wind damage and excellent skiing. The dry snow is still sluffing in steep terrain, but still not very energetic. Did note more wet activity today than yesterday, SW facing off of Gobblers was point releasing and wet sluffs were running long distances in the steeper terrain. Also of note was the glide crack on the Raymond Slabs is starting to open up again. Photos.

Wind damage on the W facing in Gobblers and on the main face.

Skier triggered sluffing in Main Porter in steep terrain.

Wet activity off of the SW face of Gobblers.

Glide crack on the Raymond slabs starting to creep again.

One of the Mineral slide from yesterday.
