Comments

Travel today was Cardiff Pass, LSB NE facing, Cardiac Ridge. The new snow on the Ridge and LSB was dense and creamy with about 10 inches of ski penetration, was not feeling any old bed surface underneath. There was some visible wind pillows on LSB but they were not reactive to ski cuts. Cardiac Ridge was much the same as LSB but with a little less wind affect. No cracking or Collapsing or other instabilities noted. The snow on SE facing Cardiac Ridge was damp but did not do much point releasing or any other type of wet activity, I'm thinking that the denseness of the new snow kept it welded in place today. Did see quite a bit of activity from yesterday, and today on the south facing across from Alta, and in SE facing Cardiac Bowl. Pics, SE facing Cardiac Bowl, Cardiff Pass S facing, Toledo Bowl SW facing, Toledo shoot, SE facing, and small pockets on Flagstaff and The Eye brow entry into Cardiff. All activity was on the South end of the compass, new snow old snow interface, sliding on a hard melt freeze crust, nothing stepping down into older weak layers.
