Comments

Travel today was E, SE facing Raymond, N facing saddle between Gobblers and Raymond exit out Millcreek. Was not sure if the E, SE facing nose on Raymond was crusted or not, luckily it had just enough E in it to still be blower pow. Cornice drop at the top produced no sluffing and a stable snow pack. The nose had about 2 , 2.5ft of total snow pack with a supportable base underneath. Did note rapid faceting on all aspects except S, and SW facing terrain.

Skiing out the steep N facing saddle between Gobblers and Raymond also produced no sluffing, and a bit deeper ski penetration. No cracking or collapsing noted in todays travels, but definitely weakening snow on the surface that will most likely be a factor when we get a new snow load. Oh Yeah Happy New year to everyone, good season so far.
