Upper LCC may have experienced green housing across S E and W faces at least. The sun never really came out but it did have some fleeting moments of more. Silver fork and the big side in general was more clear. A few things of note: on our second lap of west bowl around 1400 we kicked off small roller balls despite the powder snow surface--it just felt a bit odd. Despite the sun never coming out the Emma's were tough skiing and the bottom was not full gloop but it was trending in a very not knee friendly direction at 1500. A friend said a west facing aspect was gloop as he exited around 1600. He also commented that there was a slippery layer about a foot down that had him a bit spooked. Yesterday at around 1400 I was on the Emma's and the sun came out--it was glorious--but I could see the snow surface changing and we think there might be a thin radiation recrystalyzation layer perhaps on E through S through W slopes. Just something to have on the radar as people consider or are feeling pushed towards some of the unskied east facing terrain given todays green housing and tomorrows forecast. Overall new snow felt well bonded to old and did not experience and cracking or collapsing.
